Top > Wood > Parging

Question:

Our house is 11 yrs old (we've had it 3 yrs). There is about 2-2.5 ft of wood foundation exposed before siding starts. We're concerned about frost in winter and sun damage in summer. What would you suggest? Backfill? Waterproof?

Answer:

Thee are coverings such as trowelled-on parging that you can apply to it. There are others too but that's about the easiest.
