I have replaced and repaired parts of my deck with pressure treated wood. The existing railings and ballusters were painted white and deck boards a darker colour. They have been scrapped and sanded and re-painted (ballusters only to date). Do I need to wait a particular period of time prior to painting the wood?

As long as the wood is as dry as you can get it, you should be able to paint anytime you want.
