We built a red cedar combined with eon deck board deck last summer. Much of the cedar has a black mold on it now. How do I get rid of it and what can I do to avoid it again? We applied a good coat of stain on it late last summer.
Answer:
There are a number of biodegradeable wood washes on the market and they'll take it right back to its original colour. If its mouldy, there has to be a reason for it - perhaps its shaded, perhaps water is permitted to sit on it for extended periods, etc.
