Question:

Will treated lumber rot? If I was to build a cover for a septic tank, I have heard that it might rot quickly over a septic tank.

Answer:

It will if it is used as a cover for one of the holes but if its just there with none of the septic gasses having access to it, it will last as good as it would anywhere else.
