Question:

I have a pressure treated deck facing and nailed only two per joist. The deck is 7 yr. old and is splitting and chipping. What short term fixes and or long term fixes can I use to give me years more service? Should I leave it to the weather or put solution on it?

Answer:

You might try sealing them with a commercial wood sealer.
