With so many products on the market
used for cleaning decks and weed removal that are
that are potentially harmful to pets.
Are there any "home made" solutions I
can create myself to do the job without
putting our pets at risk?

Answer:

Actually, the biodegradable deck cleaners in most cases, I'm told, are not harmful to pets and as for the weeds, pulling them is about the only one I've heard of or used with any success.
