I have decided, I think, to put laminate flooring in my basement. The existing floor is concrete and I have just finished putting drywall on the walls. I have 3 kids, 3 cats and a large dog. Is the glueless laminate a good product? Should I spend the money for the most expensive laminate or is there a noticeable difference in quality. One place recommended (?)(not glueless) but the installation cost 11.50 per sq. ft scares me. Any suggestions on which product I should purchase. Should I consider other products such as vinyl tile, sheet vinyl etc.?
Answer:
All the flooring syou mention are good products but the dog is going to play havoc with all of them. Laminate flooring is much the same thing as you have on your kitchen counter top and the dog's claws will abuse it. Cost is something I cannot comment on for a variety of reasons.
