Question:

Yesterday when we came home after midnight we noticed 2 big skunks (couple?) in our front yard. We stopped waiting them to leave our drive-way and frontyard, BUT! ... they slowly and confidently moved toward to our porch and dissapeared under big bush next to the porch. Then we found out that there is a big hole under our porch where they burrow. How can we get rid of them? This type of neighbors is pretty frustracted.

Answer:

You'll need a bit of courage but I've seen it done. Live trap the little critter and once you have one in the trap, talk softly to it starting at a distance of not less than twenty feet. While you keep soothing it with words, quietly drape a blanket over the trap. You must, at all costs, remember which end the trap's door is at because you'll be lifting it into the back of a truck or trailer. You drive a few miles and again, while talking softly to it, you lift it off and put it on the ground. Now, lift the blanket to gain access to the door and open it. In just seconds it will leave. No matter how far away your brother-in-law lives, it would only cause excitement if you release him there.
