I had an old laminate table that I covered with pieces of material and I used PODGE-IT to attach and coat the table. It looks very nice but it is always sticky. Is there something I can use to finish the table so that the clear look remains yet it is easy to clean and not be so sticky?

As long as it's sticky, you're not going to do a whole lot with it because nothing will adhere to it. If you can find something that will harden the finish, you can then apply liquid pastic to it.
