I have a maple kitchen set and hutch. I am tired of it. You stick to it in hot weather etc. I would like to paint it with latex paint. What do I do to prepare surface?
Answer:
First you wash the whole (sticky) surface with a paint thinner because all that is is body oils and the come off quite easily. After that, if you wish to paint, you scuff up the surface with steel wool, apply a primer and paint with whatever you wish.
