A vase of flowers tipped over on my wood antique table and soaked into the tablecloth. By the time I noticed it almost half of the top of the table had a white mark the shape of the tablecloth from the water. I know you suggest using rubbing alcohol and then a hair dryer for white spots caused from water on a wood table, but I have tried this twice and it doesn't work. Can you suggest anything else that I can try?
Answer:
Try setting your iron to 'wool' and placing a sheet of paper towel between the iron and the table top as you iron it out. Never let the iron stay in one spot more than 3 to 4 seconds. This has worked great for me in the past.
