Question:

At the moment the 2x4 frame has the 2" foam on the outside and the floor plastic is stapled on the bottom 2x4 at floor level. Should I run a plastic sheet around the walls? How do I attach it to the bottom sheet. I have heard your position on basement vapor barrier to be 8 inches of the floor.

Answer:

Unless you want to deal with a horrendous condensation problem, don't add a second vapour barrier.
