Question:

I have been researching the possibility of painting my ceramic tile and linoleum floor. What have you heard about these procedures? Is it easily done, durability? I also read that you should contact a professional to redo your bath tiles. Is this not possible to complete on my own if I do the right chemical and proper application research?

Answer:

All of this is within the abilities of even the novice DIY-er. Buy the paint and the container will have instructions on what you have to do to the surface before applying it. When you buy the second product, it may have more instructions as to how to prepare the surface even before it is used. In other words, when buying paint, like for anything else, work backward from the finish you want toward surface preparation.
