I painted a bedroom in December 2004 with latex paint and it still has a moderate paint smell to it. I've searched for answers EVERYWHERE and even called the manufacturer. It appears no one can offer a scientific answer to this problem, only to re-prime and re-paint. This is a tremendous amount of work for me to redo the whole room - will this paint smell ever go away? With this warm weather now, I would think have the windows open all the time would help.

Being a handyman and nothing more when it comes to houses, I'm certainly not in a position to give you a credible scientific answer on this. I'm afraid your paint manufactuer's advice is as good as it gets.
