Question:

The outside wall of my home is porous brick and the inside wall is plaster. Moisture is seeping from the outside and damaging the plaster inside. I've used some sealers but nothing has been successful. There is nothing between the brick and the plaster.

Answer:

A good masonry outlet will be able to suggest a sealer to you. I'd have a mason take a look at the whole thing because you may very well be sealing a condensation problem inside the perimeter walls.

Remember, even if you don’t do your own work around the house have to hire someone, you put yourself at a great advantage when you can intelligently discuss a project with the various trades people.
