My mother in law says that she was listening to a radio show with you one day this past spring and that you spoke of a company that helps poor sliding patio doors. We have a 15-20yr old patio door made out of wood on the inside and metal on the outside. Our problem is that with dogs we need to open this door year round and it is a very heavy door and does not slide or in winter it even jumps slightly off its track requiring a person to muscle it back on the track. My mother in law says that you spoke of a company that will come out and give it new parts and a new lease on life.
Answer:
Actually, you can do all that yoaurself. Take the door off it's tracks, remove the roller wheel mechanisms on the bottom, clean and lubricate them and then put them back. It should take no more than a couple of screws each and there is no way you can put them back wrong.
