I would like some advice on replacing pierson windows. Should I replace with new windows or go to the pierson conversion?

Depending on where you are, you should give thought to replacing them. There are several conversion systems on the market and the one locally is as good as I've seen but that doesn't mean they all are. I've seen some that would have you better of with the old ones unmodified.
