Question:

I would like to screen in my patio/deck at my cottage in Danford Lake Quebec. The deck is 12X12ft is attached to the house and the roof was extended to cover over it. It also has railing arround it. What's the best way to screen it in? I was think of having a permanent screen put in with a door. Others have suggested removable or temporary screens.

Answer:

The removable screens may be your best bet. They don't have to be a temporary measure but being removeable, they'll also be more easily repairable. The Danford Lake area gets enough snow and ice to almost ensure the need for replacement somewhere down the line.

In the interests of retaining credibility and in fairness to all, I cannot recommend prices, people nor companies for various projects.

Remember, even if you don’t do your own work around the house have to hire someone, you put yourself at a great advantage when you can intelligently discuss a project with the various trades people.
