Question:

I have seen these security windows at a home show. They place a thin sheet of plastic in the glass, that prevents it being broken and allowing entry into your home. With a person in a wheelchair, some windows will be placed lower, for an unobstructed view, but this may also be tempting to break into, so these windows seem too meet our needs. Generally speaking, aside from the crime preventing properties, how do these windows compare to other brand name windows?

Answer:

You might check with CMHC and/or CSA to confirm whether or not particular brand names will stand up to what the commercials say. I believe trade names will tell the story better than anything else.
