I have read through you archives and am pleased to find that once a window's seal is broken, it can be resealed (i was under the incorrect impression that at this point the window needed to be replaced. Question #1 is - do you recommend any particular sealant (need to do my bay window as well as two second floor bedroom windows.
Question #2 is - my garage door is starting to rot at the bottom - i would like to replace it with new vinyl one next spring - is there a way of arresting further rotting over the winter?

In fairness to all I try to stay away from recommending products and people for various jobs but the sealant containers have very good descriptions on them as to purpose and paramaters within which one must work for best results.
If you only want the existing door to last until spring, a simple brace of 1" cedar stock lumber will hold it til then.
