Is it a good idea to use spray silicone as part of routine maintenance on the rollers & hinges of a garage door? That was mentioned in the owner's manual of our new garage door opener. Would it attract dirt?

Because it has no oil base, it should attract very little dirt and it certainly is a good idea.
