we had 8 low e,argon windows installed 2 years ago,and 10 last year. My husband is very thrifty. Last fall and now again this year He has placed plexiglass on many of the windows. Not only does this look terrible, but my concern is that they "sweat" under the plexiglass. Will having the plexiglass on the windows do any damage to the new windows. One in the kitchen now has a streak running between the sealed panes.

The plexiglass, as far as I know, can cause the seal between the sheets of actual glass to break down in cases like this so it should not be used. If one wants tripple glazed windows, they have to be engineeered that way.
Remember, even if you don’t do your own work around the house have to hire someone, you put yourself at a great advantage when you can intelligently discuss a project with the various trades people.
