Question:

we are putting in a new bathroom sink with a tile counter top. The tile is uneven so the basin rocks. how do you porperly level & seat the sink? My husband says you just lay it on a bed of silicone. I'm not so sure. We asked you in a previous email about our bifold door to which we have added 3/8" trim to make it shaker style. You suggested putting a metal plate on the top when we move the pin. The only question now is, do we move the pin to the center of the door (including the new trim), or do we put the pin the same distance from the front of the door as it was originall-----ie move the pin over the 3/8" that we added?

Answer:

Silicone is too rubber-like for this. You better level things off with grout before you apply silicone. Because your doorstop is still in the same position, you better put the pin the same distance from the front edge as it was in the first place.
