Question:

With the recent cold weather snap, we're having difficulty opening our front door. It's freezing to the weather stripping. It is a due north facing door. Its the only door out of 3 that exit to the exterior of the house. The other 2 have given no problem one faces West the other South. Just wondering if there is something we could apply to the magnetic weather stripping? I've reduce the humidity in our house to 40% on the humidifier. The weather stripping is new as of October 2003. The door is covered in a metal that is painted.

Answer:

Give the weather stripping a shot of silicone spray lubricant and that should do it.
