This morning you were asked about windows that frosted up. I did not get the whole conversation but you had suggested using a popsicle stick for ventilation. We have a vinyl sliding windows in the kitchen and bedrooms. I was wondering if you could repeat your instructions to me. As you know we do have quite a prolong winter season in Thunder Bay, Ontario and I think it would give us a lift to be able to have clearer windows.
Answer:
A popsicle stick is about 1/16" thick and that's enough ventilation at both top and bottom of double hung windows. If yours happen to be side sliders, open the exterior portion 1/16" and that should do it.
