Question:

I have a bay window in the front of the house. There appears to be a separation between the top of the metal cap over the window and the brick. I've noticed other houses with a piece of metal stripping over the cap but there is none on ours. I'm concerned that water will enter under the cap. What action should we take to close the gap and do you know what type of business would do this kind of work?

Answer:

I'd get in touch with a roof because if water is getting in there, you'll soon be replacing a lot more than just the window.
