Top > Windows & Doors > Insect

Question:

Hi Ren,
I know that your solution for this problem is to drill holes, top and bottom, between the panes. I have two questions:
1) How big should I drill the holes?
2) Can I use glass wool to fill the holes (are you familiar with that?) instead of stainless steel wool?

Answer:

The holes should be 3/16" and I've never tried glass wool but I know that various insects will dig through it while they will not dig through steel wool.
