I'm planning on increasing the wiring my in basement for a spare bedroom(5 plugs and 1 light). Does this room require a separate circuit or can I branch off of one that now has only 2 plugs and 1 light? I will be obtaining the required permits etc.

It is now getting so the circuit in question is getting pretty loaded so they insist that you add another one. Then again, it depends on what you'll be running off the new plugs.
