Question:

I'd like to put an exhaust fan in our basement bathroom. Is there a system whereby the fan comes on when the lights are turned on and will stay on about seven minutes after they are turned off, so that all the humidity from a shower is removed from the room? Would that timer be in the actual switch or in the exhaust fan?

Answer:

You're talking about a time-delay switch and someone at an electrical supply shop will probably have to order it for you. They work great and I recommend them often for exactly the purpose you suggest.
