Question:

Just boughy a hanging light installed for cellings Want to change it to a plugin like a swag in the celing with plug and on and off switch. How do I go about doing it

Answer:

If you have to extend the power cord, its a simple matter of buying enough cord to serve your purpose, a good male plug and a line switch. The latter normally has instructions on how to introduce it to the power cord and the rest is straight forward. Replace the cord rather than trying to add to its length.

In the interests of retaining credibility and in fairness to all, I cannot comment on specific products, recommend prices, people nor companies for various projects.

Telephone and E mail information is always free so please don’t hesitate to take advantage of it.

Remember, even if you don’t do your own work around the house have to hire someone, you put yourself at a great advantage when you can intelligently discuss a project with the various trades people.
