Question:

I bought a 1850 sq. ft. home and have to decide whether or not to have 100 amp service or 200 amp service. In the future, I plan to finish the basement and install central A/C. For a house of that size with a finished basement, would that necessitate 200 amp service, or would 100 amp service suffice?

Answer:

Today's life styles dictate nothing less than 200 Amp. service.
