Question:

I would like to wire my house for communications wiring. This effort will require considerable cable installation in both outside and inside walls. Do you have any advice with respect to installing cabling into a finished house?

Answer:

Try to wire as few of the perimeter walls as possible so you don't monkey with the insulation there and then do careful measuring so you can get the wires you want where you want them at the end of a fifteen or twenty foot fish tape made for the purpose.
