Bought new ceiling light. It has aluminium wiring. My house has copper. I installed it but am worried.Called manufacturer: they said it was safe to use copper and aluminium together and the light is UL rated. I am still not sure.
Answer:
If the wiring on the fixture is aluminum you'll want to be using the appropriate twist ends to hold the two metals together. I'd also want more than a telephone voice giving me instructions on it - the brochure and installation instructions that came with it should provide that.
