Last week I replaced a wall switch in a bedroom . At the same time I changed 2 out 3 wall outlets in the same room. So, the problem is, the switch controlled the upper portion of one of the outlets, and now it doesn't. All 3 outlets have power to them & work ok. I turned off the power took off the switch, turned the power back on touched the wires together. No sparks, no nothing. It is a 2 wire switch not grounded, one black and one red, I replaced the switch and all outlet wires in the identical they were originally! I am at a loss. Everything is on one single breaker switch.

Go back over the connexions and ensure that the "knock out" was actually taken out of the plug that is supposed to be controlled by the switch. If you did everything as per the former, this is the only problem you can run into unless you broke of one of the wires inside the insulation when you were working with it.
