Question:

I have purchased a new 1500 sq ft bungalow (contruction is about to begin)and it comes with a 100 amp electrical panel. Do I need to get this upgraded to 200 amps (at a cost of $2500? This new house will be gas heated and the major electricity users will be the stove, clothes dryer, air conditioner and possibly a hot tub.

Answer:

Depending on where you live, 2.5K$ sounds about 50% heavy but it is certianly worthy of consideration.
