Air conditioning does not pull humidity out since we installed a new gas furnace and air exchanger. As suggested on your show we shut down the air exchanger but to no avail the problem is still not solved. Also the fan is running continuously.

The air exchanger I think, is collecting from a height of at least three feet off the floor. This means that most of the atmospheric moisture is still there where the exchanger cannot reach it. Do not be tempted to move the intake closer to the floor or the cost can make you sick. Install a system that will take cold, moist air off the floor of the basement or ventilate the basement.
