I have a cottage in Northern Ont. It has a crawl space with a granite floor and a poured concrete foundation (pink insulation on the outside concrete walls) How do I get moisture out of crawlspace? Can I install a ventilation fan? Also what do you suggest as an alternate form of insulation for the concrete walls. The mice have invaded and love the pink insulation
Answer:
The way to get rid of the mice is to block everything up so they can't get in. You've done the right thing with insulation but you have to ventilate too. Try a draw fan to bring fresh air in and kitty corner from it, on an adjoining (not opposing) wall, put in a screened vent.
