I've been working through the recommendations you made when you inspected my house. I've had the chimneys done and the kitchen sink resealed (new counters). I've heard a ceiling fan should be reversible to run: - summer up, winter down. Correct?
Answer:
The average ceiling fan moves such quantities of air that I prefer to have it blowing air down throughout the year so the ceiling in the immediate area does not end up getting stained by atmospheric impurities. The amount of air moved is going to effect the atmosphere in the whole house so why change it.
