Question:

i was told i can add a 100 amp panel to my 100 amp panel & join them getting 200 amps.is this recomended or should i eleminate my 10 year old panel& get a 200 amp all in one?

Answer:

That's one I've never heard of before and I don't believe it can be done that easily. Even if it were possible, 200 Amp service requires the changing of the conductors leading power to the panel. You'll certainly want to talk to talk to your local power authority before trying this one.
