We have baseboard heating in our house that we don't use. Can we remove them and convert them into outlets? I would get a electrician in to do this but I wanted to know if its possible and is it expensive to do?
Answer:
I believe your heaters are 220V wired and the plugs are 110 so there'll have to be some changes made at the panel before you plug anything into them. An electrican will be able to do the conversion if that's all it takes but depending on the age of the installation, the cable leading power to them may be colour coded and that may mean a lot more work to have it all legal and safe.
In the interests of retaining credibility and in fairness to all, I cannot recommend prices, people nor companies for various projects.
