I one time heard your solution for treating light sockets where bulbs are always prematurely burning out. I cannot remember what to do. Could you forward this to me. I really enjoy your show on CHOK in Sarnia, Ontario.
Answer:
Disconnect all the power from the offending light fixture, remove the bulb, reach down into the fixture with a small flat screwdriver and lift the little copper (or brass) tongue about a quarter of an inch, with a small wad of steel wool, clean off the tongue and turn the bulb back in. Now you can re-introduce the power and you have a good light for a few more years.
