I replaced my gas fce. 5 years ago and during the winter when the furnace shuts off the ducts make a banging noise. I think it is the v design on the ductwork. How can I stop the noise(block the middle of the v-design or will a hole stop the noise.

Try placing a brick on top of the duct where it is 'oil canning' and that should look after it.
