There is an unusual odor in one of my bedrooms(two outside walls). The odor is confined to that room only. A friend suggests that there may be dead mice or squirrels in between the walls and that I will have to hire a company to remove the walls to find the problem and it is costly. I suspect they are right but I am at a loss as to what type of company specializes in this type of problem. What type of company would have a keen knowledge(nose) before walls are removed.

This is a case where you'll probably hire two contractors and the sooner the better. First, a firm dealing with vermin extermination will tell you what the problem is and how to avoid running into it again. Second, a general contractor or handyman will do the work.
