My mother listens to your program on CFRA on Saturday mornings, and heard you talk once about the use of lattice on the bottom portion of decks. You suggested that in that particular climate (Renfrew/Douglas/Cobden, Ontario) lattice was not a good choice because of various animals which like to make their homes underneath decks. We're interested in knowing what you suggest should be used to cover in that part of the deck.

I use lattice in all areas and where I need it, I line the inside with galvanized expanded sheet metal; the screening applied to house walls before stucco is applied.
