We are making a woodworking shop an old cow barn which no longer has any animals in it. We would like to insulate the walls and ceiling. Is there a rodent retardant insulation available and does it come in bat form?
Answer:
The only ones I have seen that are at all rodent resistant were the foams and one has to be very careful with them because they carry too many other negative features. I was once told that cellulose fibre can be treated (during manufacture) to be rodent resistant and some of the experimentation I saw done with it will permit its use in wall cavities. You might check with your local supplier.
