Question:

I have some old boards that have weathered and have been laying outside for over three years. I want to bring them in and use the weathered look for paneling on a small project. Is there anything I can do to the boards to assure that any bugs that have been in the wood, will not begin to run all over the house?

Answer:

The best you'll do with that is to get in touch with your local nursery and get an environmentally friendly insecticide that will do away with bugs and eggs that they deposit on a very regular basis.
