Question:

Thanks for your past advice. The problem I have is mostly anoying. We moved into our home about 1 1/2 year and there is things we noticed now that we never saw when we visited the house. On almost every wall there is signes of joints and screws where the joint coumpound, mud, was not sanded down correctly. depending on how the light falls on them, sometimes where the screws are it looks like bumps. Everything is painted over.

Answer:

The nail pops (bumps), you can drive back in with a hammer and then put more mud over them. Once you sand, you'll have to paint them again but go the whole route; prime, paint the spots, then start at the end of the wall and paint over them again as you get to them. The drywall joints are something else. Where they're rough, you can sand them and again, prime, paint and paint again. Where the seams show up as long ridges, you'd have to remove the mud and tape and re-do the joint. Not really a pleasant trip!
