We want to install peel and stick tile and peel and stick carpet squares over plywood floors in our condo - will just a plywood subfloor allow the tiles to stick or do we need to prepare it? The condo is about 18 years old so the subfloor should be fine

The peel & stick adhesive is normally not of a quality that will stick to sub-flooring. You may have to install underlayment manufactured for the purpose.
