My wife and I purchased a home and the hardwood floors have more than surface scratches. There are areas where the there are very well worn patches. They clearly did not put felts or gliders on their furniture. The patches have worn the finish right off. This floor was stained after it was laid (which I think is a good thing). My question is this. Can the area be spot stained without having to redo the whole floor.
Answer:
If you try that, it will look patch and its too nice a product to be ruined that way. Its best to re-don the whole floor.
