I would like to ceramic tile my bathroom floor and walls. The walls are painted(latex) drywall and the floor is cement. Can I simply put the tiles onto the drywall or do I have to prep it? Do I use different adhesive or the two types of surfaces?

There is always preparation of surfaces before ceramic tile adhesive is applied and yes, you use different adhesives for the two projects.
